ACQ: Singapore missed out

Singapore missed out on the Asian Cup Finals as they went down 2-1 to Jordan.

This was disappointing as the the Thai had gone down 0-1 to Iran meaning Singapore needed a draw only; which was more achievable than a win at Annam.

And, Singapore nearly did it as Noh Alam Shah had put the Lions level 3 minutes into the second half but Jordan went on to retake the lead and never relinquished it from that point onwards.

That why, in the end, for the first time, since 1988 Asian Cup, no ASEAN teams has make it to the Asian Cup Finals.
