Indra goal not enough for Champions

It appear the end of the road for SAFFC this season as they failed to make up ground on leaders Tampines Rovers, who still lead them by 12 points.

This was despite a great start as Indra score in the Warriors first attack from the every start of the match. It was his first goal in 6 matches in all competition and, more importantly, it took the former international ever closer to 200 domestic goals.

He now need only four more goals to reach 200 domestic goals (but it will take four to reach the official S-league 200 as league Cup goals are not counted)

But for this match, it was as good as worthless thanks to defender Syaiful Iskandar, recruited from Woodlands Wellington, as he was a disaster for the Warriors in this important game in the league.

He not only failed to keep tab on Balestier Khalsa Brazilian Vitor Borges and thanks to two harsh challenges, he was send off as he picked up two yellow.

The Tigers will no doubt 'credit' this draw to him while Richard Bok 'curse' as there was still nearly 50 minutes to play when he was send off.

So despite playing much better than the Tigers for much of the match, the champions could only dream of what might have been as Anantha Rajan scored for the Tigers with two minutes to go.
