Qiu Li is best forward in the league

"He can hold up the ball, he can beat players, he can score. Frankly speaking, [Li] is the best attacking player in the league," Lee said.

With that, Home United coach Lee Lim Saeng has declared Qiu Li as the best attacker in the S-League.

And no wonder as the Singapore forward has made an impressive start for Home United; in his second stint with the club.

Against Gombak United, he came off the bench to have a big say in two of his team's three goals at Bishan Stadium with Qiu Li winning a penalty in the 70th minute for 37-year-old forward Kim Dae Eui to convert before Qiu also got his name on scoresheet from the penalty spot six minutes from time.

Then a week later, against Hougang United at Hougang Stadium, he scored yet again as well as having an 'assist' as his cross was knocked into the net by the Cheetah own player.

And all that despite not being at full strength as the striker took a while to pass his Beep Test as he was injured thus out of shape.
