Albirex remain perfect

Albirex Niigata (S) have entrenched themselves at the top of the table as they won their opening 4 matches.

After defeating Hougang 1-0 at Jalan Besar on Friday, the White Swans will go onto win their second match in 4 days as they defeated last year league runner-up Brunei DPMM 2-1 at Jurong East.

In the Hougang-Albirex Matchup, a powerful long-range strike by Takeshi Nagasawa was enough to win all 3 point on the night.

But for the Albirex-DPMM game, the White Swans had to work harder as DPMM top scorer Shahrazen Said gave the Brunei side the lead.

However Albirex equalised before half-time thanks to Kento Nagasaki and in the second half, Kazuki Sakamoto scored the winner.

In another match, Geylang International won their first match of the season asthey destroyed Harimau Muda 4-1 with a hat-trick from skipper Jozef Kaplan while Nurhazwan Norasikin got the other goal.
